Gopher student-athletes train and complete in state-of-the-art facilities thanks to the generous support of Golden Gopher Fund members. All of our teams, regardless of revenue generation, have benefited from world-class facility projects that have a new standard for the rest of the country.
Land O'Lakes Center for Excellence
The Nothing Short of Greatness Campaign was the single largest fundraising campaign ever attempted by Gopher Athletics. The completion of the $166 million campaign marked the largest and most significant facility investment in the history of Gopher Athletics. The opening of the Land O'Lakes Center for Excellence, Larson Football Performance Center, Cunningham Basketball Performance Center and Lindahl Academic Center has transformed Gopher Athletics for generations to come.
This facility project was the first fundraising campaign in Gopher Athletics' history to exceed $100 million and was funded through private support from Golden Gopher Fund members. The project created new centralized academic, leadership and nutrition spaces for all Gopher student-athletes utilize while also significantly updating the practice, training and sports medicine spaces for the football, men's basketball and women's basketball programs. These enhancements have have also helped us repurpose and upgrade facilities for many of our Olympic programs.
